Labour Day Weekend
The Lytton River Festival is a celebration of two great rivers – the Thompson and Fraser – and their historic and present role in the small community of Lytton, BC.
Join us on Labour Day weekend as we celebrate the rich history of the people of the rivers.
The Nlaka’pamux People have lived along these magnificent rivers for over 10,000 years and are an integral part of the River Festival. Their rivers are integrated into their culture.
The Village of Lytton, Lytton First Nations, Lytton & District Chamber of Commerce and Kumsheen Rafting Resort are active partners in this fun-filled three-day river celebration.
Artisans & Artist Displays
Friday’s festival features First Nations artisans sharing their skills and crafts, including beadwork, leatherwork, drum making, soapstone carving and basket making to name but a few. On the stage, be entertained by First Nations performers. Enjoy the opportunity to immerse yourself in First Nations Culture.
Entertainment for All Ages
From the market to the stage, Lytton River Festival has everything you need to stay entertained. Our hilarious clowns and roaming circus acts will delight the kids, while our line up of amazing musicians will keep you dancing well into the night. Don’t miss out on these great acts and events!
Chicken Poop Bingo
This is mostly a Lytton invention. It’s a hilarious bingo game involving you, a twoonie, a chicken, a few chicken droppings, a bingo board (large one), and anticipation and tension. You’ll love it.
